Just My opinion . 🚨 Tongue cribs are not the solution. If your child has a tongue thrust, don’t punish the symptom — ask why it’s happening. A healthy tongue doesn’t thrust. It rests on the palate, supports the airway, and helps guide proper facial growth. So if it’s thrusting? That’s a red flag — not a behavioral flaw. ❌ It’s not bad behavior. ❌ It’s not stubbornness. ❌ It’s not fixed by metal cages. ✅ It’s a survival adaptation to an underdeveloped jaw. ✅ And it deserves a smarter response. �

Tongue cribs/rakes are not fixing anything. They actually make the situation worse. If we@Are supposed to keep our tongue resting on the palate to stay off of our teeth, then how would this help? What helps- educating the family on proper muscle and breathing mechanics and finding out the why for the child that is digit sucking. Muscle training and education for resting postures and chewing and swallowing. That’s what works. This should be discussed with parents , and unfortunately it’s not. Spr
