WATCH🎬 HMNZS Manawanui hosted 18 senior secondary school students who had expressed interest in the NZ Defence Force as a career. The students spent a day on the ship during the Waitangi commemorations, exposing them to the variety of jobs in our Navy. WATCH 🎬 The remainder of HMNZS Te Mana’s crew joined the ship in Esquimalt, Canada recently and were welcomed with a powerful haka. This is the first time Te Mana has had a full ship’s company since she left Aotearoa two and a half years ago for her Frigate Systems Upgrade. The challenge was given and accepted with passion and pride. A precious supply of water’s been delivered by the Navy to Gisborne. The town hit the panic button when their backup water treatment plant failed for part of the day. While things have improved, strict water restrictions remain with residents told to use as little as possible.
