In this episode of Candid Animal Cam, we're learning about the lowland tapir, on of the largest animals in South America. Tapirs are born with stripes and spots, which can help them camouflage. A baby Malayan tapir was spotted hopping around its enclosure alongside mom, Nakal, at a zoo in Antwerp, Belgium. The tapir was born December 4th and a zoo caretaker said, "The baby is doing great. It's very lively and playful." | CBS Sunday Morning

BABY BOOM: Two baby tapirs were born at a zoo in Nicaragua to two different mothers on Sunday. In footage released by the zoo, one of the newborns was seen staying close to her mother's side. | 9&10 News
