A strong winter storm will dump snow across the state, but all ski areas are closed until next weekend.

The heavy snow is expected to keep falling this week when three states receive even more snowfall, despite the calendar making it clear April is almost over. Three States Bracing

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The erratic Kansas weather was in full force this week. Between Monday and Tuesday, some towns experienced temperature drops of more than 30 degrees. The change brought snow to some areas in western Kansas overnight and into Wednesday morning.

The snow hasn't stopped in Parker, Colorado, where 6+ inches has fallen just on Wednesday. Portions of Colorado are seeing their biggest snowstorm in a decade.

Heavier snow totals will be recorded in Colorado's northern and central mountains and foothills. Before dark on Wednesday, Estes Park had already recorded 20 inches of snow and Ra
